In Fiscal Years 2005-2006 and 2006-2007, <br />700 signs were replaced and numerous others were repaired, requiring the <br />installation of various sized posts and mounting hardware. The materials <br />necessary for ongoing sign maintenance operations are purchased through the <br />Central Stores warehouse for distribution to the PWA. <br />The notice inviting bids was advertised on June 26, 2007 and bids were <br />solicited. A summary of the bid invitations and bids received is as <br />follows: <br />29 Invitations For Bid mailed <br />8 Invitations For Bid mailed to Santa Ana vendors <br />4 Bids received <br />I Bid received from a Santa Ana vendor <br />Bids were received, opened on July 10, 2007, and evaluated (Exhibit 1). <br />The bids were evaluated by individual product categories. The bid received <br />from Zumar Industries, Inc., is responsive to the specifications and meets <br />the City's requirements. <br />22D-1 <br />
