Award a contract to Fleming Environmental, Inc., the lowest <br />responsible bidder, in accordance with unit bid prices in the <br />estimated amount of $465,849 for construction of Corporate Yard <br />National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System Improvements. <br />2. Approve a Funding Analysis with a total estimated construction cost <br />of $605,400. <br />The City's maintenance yard was constructed in 1994 and is not in <br />compliance with the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System <br />(NPDES) requirements (Exhibit 1) This project will provide upgraded <br />components of the existing sewer line bypass system, new structures to <br />cover exposed material to prevent runoff into the city's storm drain <br />system, and a bird netting system to prevent accumulation of bird feces. <br />Once completed, the maintenance yard will operate in compliance with the <br />NPDES permit. <br />The Notice Inviting Bids was advertised on May 30 and June 1, 2007, bids <br />were opened on June 14, 2007.
