Direct the City Attorney to prepare and authorize the City Manager <br />and the Clerk of the Council to execute a contract with The Planning <br />Center to prepare the General Plan Housing Element in an amount not <br />to exceed $227,670. <br />2. Direct the City Attorney to prepare and authorize the City Manager <br />and the Clerk of the Council to execute a Cooperative Agreement with <br />the Community Redevelopment Agency of the City of Santa Ana (Agency) <br />to use $25,000 of Agency funds on the General Plan Housing Element. <br />COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY ACTION <br />Direct the Agency General Counsel to prepare and authorize the Executive <br />Director of the Community Redevelopment Agency and the Agency Secretary <br />to execute a Cooperative Agreement with the City of Santa Ana to supply <br />an amount not to exceed $25,000 for use in preparation of the General <br />Plan Housing Element. <br />DISCUSSION <br />As required by State law, Santa Ana's General Plan Housing Element is to <br />be updated and forwarded to State of California Housing and Community <br />Development by June 30, 2008. Last updated in December 2000, the Housing <br />Element identifies the City's plan, programs and policies to ensure the <br />80A-1 <br />
