<br />A-2006-238-01 <br /> <br />O'.CDA/W I" (1) <br />Frar.ce:; CQdeMS <br /> <br />FIRST AMENDMENT TO AGREEMENT UNDER WORKFORCE INVESTMENT ACT <br /> <br />THIS FIRST AMENDMENT TO AGREEMENT ("Amendment") is entered into this 1 st <br />day of July 2007, by and between the City of Santa Ana, a charter city and municipal corporation <br />duly organized and existing under the Constitution and laws of the State of California ("CITY") <br />and Santa Ana Unified School District/Career DevelopmentlROP ("CONTRACTOR"). <br /> <br />Recitals: <br /> <br />A. The parties entered into an Agreement dated July 1,2006, ("said Agreement") by which <br />Santa Ana Unified School District/Career Development/ROP, was to provide education, <br />training and employment programs for economically disadvantaged youths for entry into the <br />labor market ("said program") through June 30, 2007. <br /> <br />B. The parties now wish to amend the Agreement to extend the term for six months. <br /> <br />Wherefore, in consideration of the covenants contained in said Agreement, and subject to all the <br />terms and conditions of said Agreement, the parties agree as follows: <br /> <br />1. Section 3, TIME PERIOD OF THE AGREEMENT, shall be deleted in its entirety and <br />replaced with the following language: <br /> <br />This Agreement shall commence on July I, 2006 and all duties arising under this <br />Agreement shall have been performed by December 30, 2007. The term of this <br />Agreement may be extended by a writing executed by the Executive Director of <br />the Community Development Agency and the City Attorney. <br /> <br />2.
