Section 1 <br />Jones & Stokes Backqround and Qualifications <br />Jones & Stokes is a multidisciplinary consulting firm specializing in environmental analyses, planning, <br />and regulatory compliance, with particular emphasis in the California Environmental Quality Act <br />(CEQA) and the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA). Established in 1970, Jones & Stokes <br />is one of the oldest and largest environmental planning firms in the country, with particular expertise <br />in the application of CEQA and NEPA for government agencies. We are often retained by clients <br />that are faced with difficult regulatory compliance issues because our staff has vast experience with a <br />variety of complex and controversial projects. Jones & Stokes is an employee -owned company, <br />which motivates each member of our staff to provide the highest quality client service. <br />A partial list of out services that are relevant to the proposed project includes the following. <br />■ CEQA/NEPA documentation. <br />■ Endangered Species Act compliance. <br />■ Conservation planning. <br />■ Wildlife management programs. <br />■ Botanical surveys and inventories. <br />■ Wetland ecology and permitting. <br />■ Land development planning. <br />■ Public involvement and facilitation. <br />■ Cultural resources management. <br />■ Air quality and noise assessments. <br />■ Aesthetic and visual resource analyses. <br />■ GIS/CAD/database applications. <br />As recognized leaders in CEQA and NEPA, our project managers and on -staff environmental <br />attorneys keep abreast of the most up-to-date CEQA and NEPA guidelines and current court <br />decisions. In addition to CEQA and NEPA compliance, our staff expertise covers the gamut of <br />regulatory requirements that will be involved in this project, including federal and state endangered <br />species acts, California Fish and Game Code, Clean Water Act, Clean Air Act, National Historic <br />Preservation Act, and everything in between. <br />Jones & Stokes currently has 16 offices located across the country, including a local Orange County <br />office in Irvine and four other southern California offices located in Los Angeles, Riverside, San <br />Diego, and Kern Counties. Our talented multidisciplinary staff is made up of nearly 500 qualified <br />professionals companywide, with over 100 staff members in southern California. Our in-house <br />personnel encompass nearly every environmental discipline, providing a wide breadth of services, <br />including planners, biologists, hydrologists, soil scientists, cultural resource specialists, air <br />quality/noise/traffic engineers, environmental attorneys, and public involvement specialists. We also <br />have a team of technical editors who are instrumental in producing consistent, well -written, and <br />understandable documents. <br />Jones & Stokes' reputation is built not only on our successful project work, but also on our <br />regulatory training classes and publications.
