5. PUBLIC COMMENTS ON NON-AGENDA ITEMS <br />Julie Stroud requested a meeting between neighborhood representatives and the <br />city in order to discuss the proposed Village Green project. She stated that Morrison <br />Park residents were concerned about the potential for parking impacts in the <br />neighborhood if the project is approved as proposed. She also expressed her <br />preference for proposals to redevelop the YMCA building that would generate more <br />shopping opportunities in the area. <br />Bud Warrick distributed an informational packet on a project called Deep Web. <br />Mayor Pulido requested that the Economic Development staff review Mr. Warrick's <br />information. <br />6. COMMITTEE MEMBER COMMENTS <br />Councilmember Sarmiento requested an update on the Santa Ana Renaissance <br />Specific Plan and also stated that the City's housing policies need to be more <br />proactive in addressing aging housing stock and lack of affordability. Mr. Trevino <br />provided an update on the Santa Ana Renaissance Specific Plan and the efforts to <br />begin an update to the Housing Element, which could address housing policies. <br />Councilmember Bustamante requested an update on the proposed Village Green <br />project. Mrs. Haluza stated that the project had been revised and that a meeting <br />with the neighborhood representatives was being scheduled. <br />Mr. Trevino also provided an update on the status of the shopping cart retrieval ~ <br />program. <br />7.
