bk:8/13/07 <br />RESOLUTION <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SANTA ANA EXTENDING VARIANCE NO. 2005-25 AS <br />CONDITIONED FOR ONE (1) YEAR FOR THE PROPERTY <br />LOCATED AT 206 NORTH OLIVE STREET <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. The City Council of the City of Santa Ana hereby finds, determines <br />and declares as follows: <br />A. On September 19, 2005, the City Council approved Variance Nos. <br />2005-25(a), 2005-25(b) and 2005-25(c) to allow a reduction in front yard <br />setbacks, a reduction in landscaping, and a waiver of the loading space <br />requirement to construct a new office building in the Professional (P) zoning <br />district at 206 North Olive Street. <br />B. The applicant has requested an extension of the expiration date for <br />Variance Nos. 2005-25(a), 2005-25(b) and 2005-25(c). The Planning <br />Division has recommended a one (1) year extension as being sufficient to <br />allow the applicant to complete work on his other pending projects and <br />begin construction of this office building. <br />C. The instant extension request came before the City Council on August 20, <br />2007. <br />D. Santa Ana Municipal Code Section 41-647 authorizes the City Council to <br />extend the date on which a variance become void for a period for not to <br />exceed three (3) years. <br />E. In accordance with the California Environmental Quality Act, the proposed <br />project has been determined to be adequately evaluated in the previously <br />prepared Environmental Impact Report No. 2004-246. <br />Section 2. The City Council of the City of Santa Ana hereby, approves a one <br />(1) year extension of Variance Nos. 2005-25(a), 2005-25(b) and 2005-25(c), as <br />conditioned. <br />31 B-4 <br />Resolution No. 2007-XX <br />Page 1 of 2 <br />
