Taj <br />Construction failed to include a bid bond with their bid, making their <br />bid non-responsive. The lowest responsive bid was submitted by Unique <br />Performance Construction for $358,500, which is above the Engineer s <br />estimate of $300,000. <br />BNVIRONMLNTAL IMPACT <br />In accordance with the California Environmental Quality Act the <br />recommended action is exempt from further review. Categorical Exemption <br />No. ER 2007-114 has been filed. <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br />The funding analysis shows a total estimated construction cost of <br />$466,050 for the project (Exhibit 2). Funds are available in the Fire <br />Department's Office of the Chief, Capital Building Improvements Fund <br />(account no. 011-320-6621, encumbrance no. 101058). <br /> <br />James G.
