BUSINESS CALENDAR <br /> <br />55.D. <br /> <br />Motion: <br /> <br />ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT REPORT NO. 98-01 FOR THE GRAND <br />AVENUE WIDENING PROJECT <br /> <br />Council Discussion ensued. Councilmember Bist requested that this item be <br />approved, but that a study session be held to discuss all the issues and <br />impacts of this project. City Manager Dave Ream noted that this matter <br />could be scheduled as a work study session on December 16, 2002 <br /> <br />1. Adopt resolution. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2002-096 - A resolution of the City Council of the <br />City of Santa Ana certifying the Environmental Impact Report for the <br />Grand Avenue Street Widening Project, approving a mitigation <br />monitoring program, and adopting certain facts, findings and a statement <br />of overriding considerations <br /> <br />2. She further noted that this action was in response to <br />the proposed light rail project and the proposed alignment of the rail line <br />concluding at the depot, This study was an effort to look at the <br />development potential of this area. Since it is a major gateway leading into <br />the City, it is appropriate to maximize the land use potential.
