Our <br />staff will interview new clients to determine CDBG eligibility: 1) resident of Santa Ana and 2) low income or less by HUD <br />standards. Staff will help eligible clients complete The Cambodian Family Youth (Program Registration Form and The <br />Cambodian Family CDBG Eligibility Assessment Form. These forms verify client's residency, household sixe and <br />income, race and ethnic, and whether client comes from amily with female head of household. When client is under 18 <br />years of age, parent/guardian sign the registration form. Staff use the household size and income information to <br />compare to the Latest HUD median Income Orange County (uncapped) to determine client eligibity and also to properly <br />categorize them under appropriate categories (Moderate Income, Low Income, Very Low Income, Extremely Low <br />Income). <br />Of the 128 that we will serve during the 2007-2008 grant year, 90 of them will achieve measurable successful outcome. <br />Success in youth is measure in the following way. Youth must show improvement in at least two of the three areas: <br />academic improvement, leadership and community services participation, and career exploration (as described in the <br />grant proposal).
