Only the <br />viewable space will print. <br />AdultWorks will provide services to adults, mostly parents of our students providing English classes, computer <br />application classes (both by Santa Ana College), parenting workshops, Latino Educational Attainment training which <br />teaches parents hew to n~wigotc the educational system and be\,;ullle advocates for their Children, hosting tax days in <br />partnership with the City of Santa Ana, United Way, Wells Fargo, and Orange County Legal Aid, and resource <br />referrals. <br /> <br />City of Santa Ana <br />Scope of Work <br />EI Puente Community Development Corporation d.b.a. KidWorks <br />AdultWorks <br /> <br />The AdultWorks Coordinator will train a core group of parents who will become trainers of the LEA curriculum, <br />promoting parent advocacy in the schools and for their children's academic success. This technique of parent-to- <br />parent education has proven to be very effective in the Pico Lowell community. This core group of parents will also be <br />the parent council responsible for coordinating events and providing input from the community for the other programs <br />at the KidWorks centers. In addition to the LEA curriculum, they will participate in financial literacy workshops, health <br />education workshops and other leadership trainings that will equip them to be not only advocates for their families but <br />also advocates for their neighborhoods. Much of this training will take place in partnership with the Bella Vista and <br />Casa Bonita Neighborhood Associations. <br /> <br />Schedule of Performace <br />Estimate the number of ONLY unduplicated Santa Ana residents to be served by the funded program during the 12- <br />month contract period per quarter.
