Chemicals such as <br />hydrochloric acid and sodium hypochlorite are required to disinfect public <br />swimming pools, water fountains, sewer system, and water wells throughout <br />the City. The chemicals are purchased through the Central Stores warehouse <br />for distribution to the agencies. The contracts for chemicals are designed <br />to provide quality products at significant savings based on quantity <br />pricing. <br />The notice inviting bids was advertised on July 25, 2007 and bids were <br />solicited.
