Under the direction of a Team Leader, will keep project <br />on course for schedule, cost and resources. <br />. Assists in planning, organizing, and arranging for <br />staffing. <br />. Heads effort to confirm user requirements. <br />. Manages all applicable phases of the application <br />development life cycle <br />. Defines work tasks and makes staff assignments <br />. Participates in architecting the system and confirming <br />viability of design. <br />. Helps quality control staff products. <br />. Plays key role in overall integration of systems <br />modules. <br />. Oversees acceptance testing and operational cut over. <br />. Some post implementation transition assistance. <br /> <br />Education/Certification College degree preferred. <br /> <br />Work Experience/Skills/Knowledge/Abilities . Minimum 6 years of Applications & Development <br />Services experience with 3 years in project <br />management assignments. <br />. Must have recent experience as project manager for a <br />successful software applications development project <br />with a budget of at least $400,000 or 4,000 hours of <br />staff effort. <br />. Knowledge of government accounting practices and <br />municipal government processes ideal. <br />. Skills in all phases of the application development life <br />cycle needed. <br />. Ability to communicate both orally and in writing. <br />· Excellent interpersonal and team skills a must. <br />. Needs an "I'll do whatever it takes" attitude. <br />. 4 GL programming and relational data base design very <br />helpful. <br />· Client/server development experience a big plus. <br />· Should have PC skills in word processing, spreadsheet, <br />and project management software. <br /> <br />Other . Must have a valid Class C Driver's license. <br />· Manual dexterity to manipulate computers and <br />keyboards. <br />· Ability to read printed documentation and computer <br />screens. <br />. May have to undergo background investigation by <br />Santa Ana Police Department. <br />
