<br />RESOLUTION NO. CRA2007-006 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT <br />AGENCY OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA APPROVING THE <br />PURCHASE OF PROPERTY FROM THE STATE OF <br />CALIFORNIA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION <br />LOCATED AT 1126 AND 1146 WASHINGTON AVENUE, <br />SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA; AND AUTHORIZING THE <br />EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR TO EXECUTE DOCUMENTS AS <br />NECESSARY <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: The Board of the Community Redevelopment Agency of the City of <br />Santa Ana hereby finds, determines and declares as follows: <br /> <br />A. The Community Redevelopment Agency of the City of Santa Ana <br />(hereinafter referred to as the "Agency") desires to purchase the property <br />located at 1126 and 1146 Washington Avenue (DD073034-01-01) (the <br />"Property") from the State of California Department of Transportation <br />("CaITrans"). The Property is considered surplus government land. <br /> <br />B. CalTrans requires that the goveming body of the Agency must provide a <br />resolution that states that the Property will be used for specific public <br />purposes. "Public purposes" means the preponderant area of the Property <br />shall be substantially for governmental use, as opposed to proprietary <br />functions. <br /> <br />C. The Agency plans to use the Property in conformity with Government Code <br />sections 54220 through 54227, as required, for a transit oriented development <br />with an affordable housing component. <br /> <br />Section 2. The Executive Director of the Agency or his/her designee <br />("Executive Director") is hereby authorized, on behalf of the Agency, to execute <br />such documents that are to be signed by the Agency in connection with the <br />purchase of the Property, with such non-substantive changes as may be approved <br />by the Agency General Counsel. <br /> <br />Section 3. The Executive Director is hereby authorized, on behalf of the <br />Agency, to sign all documents necessary and appropriate to carry out and implement <br />the purchase and to administer the Agency's obligations, responsibilities and duties to <br />be performed. <br /> <br />Resolution No. eRA 2007-006 <br />Page 1 of2 <br />
