All City <br />departments utilize floor-covering services for the purposes of general <br />maintenance, building modifications, and renovation. In the past year, <br />carpeting was replaced in the Memorial Center and Fire Stations 5 and 9, <br />and new carpeting was installed in the Fire training facility. The <br />contract for floor covering services will provide fixed pricing for removal <br />and installation of carpet, vinyl tile, and wall base. <br />On June 6, 2005, the City Council awarded a contract to JJJ Floor Covering, <br />Inc., for a two-year period with provision for two, one-year renewals. The <br />vendor has performed satisfactorily during the past contract period and has <br />agreed to renew the contract without an increase in pricing.
