Bustamante, Joel Torres, and <br />Laurie Hampton for the apartment structures located at the primary <br />address of 2201 North Broadway (inclusive of 2201-2205i~ N. Broadway and <br />211-219 West Buffalo Street). <br />DISCUSSION <br />Request of Applicant <br />The applicants, Alfonso and Patricia T. Bustamante, Joel Torres, and <br />Laurie Hampton, request the approval of Historic Property Preservation <br />Agreement No. 2007-07 (Mills Act) between themselves and the City of <br />Santa Ana. <br />Property Description <br />The subject property includes a two-story Spanish Colonial Revival <br />residence and a detached garage located at 2201 North Broadway. <br />Surrounding land uses are commercial to the north and south, multi- <br />family residential to the west, and single-family residential to the <br />east. <br />Analysis of the Issues <br />In March 1999, the City Council approved an ordinance authorizing <br />Historic Property Preservation Agreements (HPPA), commonly known as the <br />Mills Act contracts, for eligible historic properties.
