Bustamante of the Bustamante Family Trust dated March 8, 2006 <br />for the structure located at 819 North Spurgeon Street. <br />HISTORIC RESOURCES COMMISSION ACTION <br />Recommended that the City Council direct the City Attorney to prepare and <br />authorize the City Manager and the Clerk of the Council to execute an <br />agreement with Alfonso and Patricia T. Bustamante of the Bustamante <br />Family Trust dated March 8, 2006 for the structure located at 819 North <br />Spurgeon Street at its October 4, 2007 meeting by a vote of 5:0 <br />(Bustamante, Chinn, Dickman, Stroud absent). <br />DISCUSSION <br />After the public hearing on October 4, 2007, the Historic Resources <br />Commission reviewed the proposed Historic Property Preservation Agreement <br />(Mills Act Contract) and concluded that the resulting potential property <br />tax savings would encourage the owner to reinvest the tax savings in the <br />maintenance of their historic property, and would benefit both the owner <br />and the community (Exhibit A). Additionally, the agreement prevents <br />inappropriate alterations. <br />25F-1 <br />
