Resolution and Ordinance Adopting <br />Various Construction Codes <br />November 5, 2007 <br />Page 2 <br />The construction codes proposed for adoption by reference with amendments <br />include the following: <br />2007 California Building Code <br />2007 California Electrical Code <br />2007 California Mechanical Code <br />2007 California Plumbing Code <br />2007 California Fire Code <br />2007 California Existing Building Code <br />2006 International Property Maintenance Code <br />2006 Uniform Swimming Pool, Spa and Hot Tub Code <br />2006 Uniform Solar Energy Code <br />The Planning & Building Agency and Fire Department are recommending that <br />certain changes and modifications be made to the 2007 Editions of the <br />California Building, Plumbing, Mechanical, Electrical, Fire, and Existing <br />Building Codes that are reasonably necessary due to local conditions in <br />the City of Santa Ana. Other modifications are of an administrative or <br />procedural nature and concern themselves with subjects that are not <br />covered by the Codes or are reasonably necessary to safeguard life and <br />property within the City of Santa Ana. <br />There are a total of 16 findings in the Resolution which address two to <br />the Electrical Code, one to the Mechanical Code, seven to the Plumbing <br />Code, and six to the Fire Code (see Exhibit 1). <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br />There is no fiscal impact associated with this action. <br />~--'-~ f ^-, .~'~ <br />/L/ ~ 1 <br />Jay _M.
