<br />W/A 2007-08 Grant <br />OCCT A C--Budget Narrative <br /> <br />Personnel $71,680. <br />*Appropriate FICA taxes will be taken outfrom these amoullls /isted. <br />Case Manager--/OO% FTE: $31,680. <br />40-hours a week~ I 1 months @ $ 1 8.00 per hr. <br />The Case Manager will work 40 hours a week for 1 1 months providing: recruitment <br />& intake, assessment, documentation & case notes; identify barriers and goals; <br />monitor progress & goals; meet regularly with individual WIA participants to train on <br />employment and job skills; represent OCCT AC in provider network and youth <br />council meetings; organize and attend OCCT AC- WIA Staff Meetings and document <br />input; organize related activities. <br /> <br />Literacy Coachllnstructor-50% PTE $20,000. <br />20-hours a week @ $25.00 per hour <br />This position will be responsible for assessing the literacy and basic skills of all 20 <br />participants; teaching WIA participant's learning and literacy strategies; monitor & <br />document literacy progress throughout the program; meeting regularly & individually <br />with WIA participants to train on HOSTS curriculum and placed in the After-School <br />Learning Academy; and attend regular team meetings. <br /> <br />Arts/Technology Instructor-50% PTE: $20,000. <br />20-hours a week @ $25.00 per hour <br />The respective position will be responsible for providing individual educational and <br />career training to all 20 participants; mentoring and assisting participants with related <br />work experience placement; observing and monitoring participants with <br />technical/artistic skills; documenting progress throughout the program; meeting <br />regularly & individually with WIA participants to train on related curriculum; and <br />attending regular team meetings. <br /> <br />Participants Wages $40,800. <br />Training Stipend: (both In and Out-of-school youth) 20-participants $12,000. <br />In months 1 to 3, all participants (in & out-of school youths) will be given a stipend <br />of $200.00 per month to participate in the program. <br />After the first three months, the out-of-school youth will be paid $8.00 per hour for <br />on-the-job training (up to 15 hours per week) for 6-additional months. <br />10-participants $28,800. <br />Other $ 7,000. <br />Counselor-As needed: We have allocated funds to contract counselors for career <br />counseling or clinical counseling to support those youths who are in need of either <br />service. Together these contractors will work with the Case Manager to document the <br />progress of the participants. <br />
