unsafe building. <br />(5) Issuance of a certificate of occupancy shall not be construed as an <br />approval of a violation of the provisions of this code or of other ordinances <br />of the jurisdiction. Certificates presuming to give authority to violate or <br />cancel the provisions of this code or of other ordinances of the jurisdiction <br />shall not be valid. <br />110.2 Change in use. Changes in the character or use of a building shall <br />not be made except as specified in Section of this code. <br />110.3 Certificate issued. After the building official inspects the building or <br />structure or the portion thereof which is the subject of a change of owner or <br />occupant and finds no violations of the provisions of this code or other laws <br />which are enforced by the code enforcement agency, the building official shall <br />issue a certificate of occupancy which shall contain the following: <br />1. The building permit number, if applicable. <br />2. The address of the building. <br />3. The name and address of the owner or occupant, as appropriate. <br />4. A description of that portion of the building for which the certificate is <br />issued. <br />5. A statement that the described portion of the building has been inspected <br />for compliance with the requirements of this code for the group and <br />division of occupancy and the use for which the proposed occupancy is <br />classified. <br />6. The name of the building official. <br />7. Such additional information as the building official may determine to be <br />appropriate. <br />8. The use and occupancy in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 3. <br />9. The type of construction as defined in Chapter 6. <br />10. The design occupancy load. <br />11. If an automatic sprinkler system is provided, a statement indicating <br />whether the sprinkler system is required. <br />12.
