Po~icG ~~'- ~~~ <br />~05~ Go,.,~,.les HIS AGREEMENT made and entered into this 23`d day of October, 2007 by and <br />between the Doubletree Hotel Santa Ana/Orange County Airport (hereinafter "Doubletree"), and <br />the City of Santa Ana, a charter city and municipal corporation organized and existing under the <br />Constitution and laws of the State of California (hereinafter "City"). <br />RECITALS <br />A. The City desires to retain a Contractor having special skill and knowledge in the field of <br />holding special event banquets. <br />B. Doubletree represents that it is able and willing to provide such services to the City. <br />C. In undertaking the performance of this Agreement, Doubletree represents that it is <br />knowledgeable in its field and that any services performed by Doubletree under this <br />Agreement will be performed in compliance with such standards as may reasonably be <br />expected from a professional in the field. <br />NOW THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual and respective promises, and subject to the <br />terms and conditions hereinafter set forth, the parties agree as follows: <br />1. SCOPE OE SERVICES <br />Doubletree shall provide event services, including catering, servers, sound system and <br />facility, as set forth in Exhibit "A" attached hereto, for the Santa Ana Police Department <br />Awards Banquet to take place at the Doubletree Hotel Santa Ana/Orange County Airport, <br />on April 11, 2008 (hereinafter "said Event"). Doubletree services shall include: <br />• Use of the Champagne Ballroom. <br />• Provide tables, seating and equipment, including the sound system and podium; <br />• Catering of the event, including preparation and service, for approximately 300 <br />people; <br />• Cash bar with bartender <br />• Parking, including valet parking <br />• Set up, take down and clean up of said Event. <br />2. COMPENSATION <br />a. City agrees to pay, and Doubletree agrees to accept as total payment for its services, <br />the rates and charges identified in Exhibit A. The total sum to be expended pursuant to this <br />Agreement shall not exceed $25,000.00 during the term of this Agreement. <br />
