Authorize the City Manager and Clerk of the Council to execute the <br />attached agreement with the County of Orange in the amount of <br />$100,000 related to capital improvements at Jerome Center, subject to <br />non-substantive changes approved by the City Manager and City <br />Attorney. <br />2. Approve an appropriation adjustment recognizing $100,000 in the <br />Capital Outlay - Park Improvements revenue account (no. 51-O1-5386) <br />and appropriating same to the Capital Outlay - Park Improvements <br />expenditure account (no. 51-250-6631) for the Jerome Center <br />renovation project. <br />DISCUSSION <br />The County Board of Supervisors approved an agreement between the County <br />of Orange and the City of Santa Ana on October 30, 2007 allocating <br />$100,000 to the City of Santa Ana for capital improvements at Jerome <br />Center. The proposed improvements would include the renovation of the <br />indoor basketball court, heating and air conditioning system, <br />restroom/shower room, front entry, reroofing, interior and exterior <br />painting, lighting and ceiling renovation, etc. The County's contribution <br />will be specifically applied toward the cost to replace the gym floor at <br />Jerome Center. <br />25E-1 <br />
