-UNITED- <br />INSPECTION <br />®~& TESTINGING ~ <br />GIUALITY CONTROL PROJECTS <br />Some of United's recent projects that are similar to Santa Ana's Capital Improvement projects <br />are: <br />• Grove Community Church, Riverside: This project is a new church facility. United <br />provided complete inspection and testing, including asphalt, concrete, soils and steel <br />inspection and testing, as well as non-destructive testing. <br />• Metropolitan Water District of Southern California: United's projects with MWD include <br />the Robert A. Skinner Filtration Plant in Hemet, the Henry J. Mills Filtration Plant in <br />Riverside and the MWD Laboratory in Laverne. Our inspectors provide extensive soils <br />inspection and testing for MWD. We are; proud to have been selected by MWD as their <br />inspection and testing lab since 2000. <br />• Inland Empire Energy Center, Romoland: The first of its kind in the US, this project is a <br />gas turbine combined-cycle power plant. United provided complete inspection and <br />testing services for this $1 Billion project.' Extensive soils work was required, as well as <br />complete concrete, masonry, steel and non-destructive testing and inspection. <br />• New City Hall, Daycare Center, and Central Plant, City of Corona: The project consisted <br />of construction of a new City Hall, Daycare Center, and Central Plant. United provided <br />complete testing and inspection services including soils inspection, reinforcing steel, <br />concrete, structural steeVwelding, ultrasonic .testing, fireproofing, waterproofing, and all <br />related construction materials testing. . <br />• Transit Administration Facility, City of Gardena: This new transit facility will <br />accommodate 100 buses, and has an administration building, a bus wash, and a fuel <br />island. United provided concrete, masonry,~steel and general oversight inspection, as <br />well as materials and non-destructive testing,: <br />• Harlyne Norris Research Tower, USC, Los Angeles: This new structure is a 10 story, <br />172,000 square foot cancer research facility, consisting of concrete piles and footings, <br />concrete slab-on-grade, concrete walls at the basement level, and a braced structural <br />steel frame above. United provided concrete, masonry, steel and fireproofing inspection <br />and testing for this project. <br />• Howard Keck Diagnostic & Treatment Center, Santa Monica: This project is the second <br />step of the rebuilding plan of the St. John's Medical Center. It is a 275,000 square foot, <br />four story diagnostic and treatment facility. United is performing concrete, masonry and <br />steel /welding inspection and testing.
