As part of
this Project, the City and Caltrans entered into a Cooperative
Agreement, whereby the excess property would be transferred to the
City for their disposal.
On May 8, 2007, Caltrans transferred four small surplus remnant
parcels on Broadway, adjacent to the southbound I-5 off ramp to the
City for its disposal. City has been in negotiations with the
adjacent property owners to the west and al l of them have agreed to
acquire the remainder parcels, with the intent of combining this land
with their existing residential property. Each buyer has agreed to
purchase the small remnant parcels for $100 (Exhibit 1). The sale
price is based on the fact that these parcels have no value to the
City, have no road access and have significant use restrictions.
75A-1
