<br />Council Committee members indicated we need a balance of usage by different <br />types of sports, and need to communicate with the community on their interest. <br /> <br />Discussion ensued, <br /> <br />PREY Committee Members recommended the following: <br />1) Continue the requirement for residency rosters, <br />2) Review rules and policies to further define "Tournaments", <br />3) Establish whether leagues are profit versus non-profit. Provide lead time for <br />all leagues to be non-profit (501 c3), <br />4) Sports program need diversity, but not at the expense of others. <br />5) Consider the options of city program versus league operated program. <br />6) Background checks are needed to ensure city is protected. <br />7) Sports program should also include an education component. <br />8) All activities should include a component to include parents to be involved. <br /> <br />5.
