Adopt a resolution authorizing the Executive Director of the Public <br />Works Agency to submit projects for funding consideration under the <br />Measure M Combined Transportation Funding Programs. <br />2. Direct staff to amend the seven-year Capital Improvement Program to <br />incorporate the Combined Transportation Funding Programs projects list. <br />DISCUSSION <br />The Orange County Transportation Authority (OCTA) has issued a final call <br />for projects under the current Measure M Combined Transportation Funding <br />Programs (CTFP) for FY 08/09 through FY 10/11. Funding in the amount of <br />$40.9 million is available countywide in four different funding program <br />areas. The CTFP programs designated for funding are: Intersection <br />Improvement Program (ITP), Signal Improvement Program (SIP), <br />Transportation Demand Management (TDM), and Growth Management Area (GMA). <br />The City of Santa Ana will be submitting nine applications totaling $13.55 <br />million in grant fund requests. The City will utilize existing & future <br />Measure M turnback and other federal grant funds to provide the required <br />matching funds for the subject requested projects. <br />Staff is requesting authorization for the following projects, listed by <br />funding program and fiscal year(s): <br />RECOMMENDED PROJECTS <br />PROGRAM GRANT AMOUNT <br />FY <br />BristoljWarner intersection widening <br />Bristol/17th intersection widening <br />Grand/Dyer intersection widening <br />IIP & GMA $3.2 Million <br />IIP & GMA $3.5 Million <br />IIP $3 Million <br />10/11 <br />09/10 <br />09/10 <br />21 A-1 <br />
