EJC: adg <br />6/6/79 <br />A G R E E M E N T <br />THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into this <br />day of 1979, by and between the <br />City of Costa Mesa, a municipal corporation of the State of <br />California, hereinafter called "Costa Mesa," and the City of <br />Santa Ana, a municipal corporation of the State of <br />California, hereinafter called "Santa Ana," <br />W I T N E S S E T H <br />RECITALS: <br />A. Santa Ana and Costa Mesa each maintains as <br />part of its municipal service mobile intensive care <br />paramedics as defined by California Health and Safety Code S <br />1481. <br />B. The parties hereto are studying the <br />feasibility of a multi -agency agreement for combined fire <br />department communications, training resources and emergency <br />responses. <br />C. The parties hereto, as part of the <br />aforementioned study, desire to enter into an agreement <br />whereby mobile intensive care paramedics maintained by Santa <br />Ana may respond to a defined area within the corporate <br />limits of Costa Mesa. <br />D. The parties hereto desire to set forth their <br />rights, duties and responsibilities with respect to said <br />response obligations. <br />WHEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual <br />covenants and agreements hereinafter contained, and subject <br />to the terms and conditions hereof, the parties hereto do <br />hereby agree as follows: <br />1. Santa Ana, pursuant to the authority granted <br />by SS 55632 et seg. and 6500 et seg. of the California <br />Government Code, hereby agrees to respond to calls for <br />mobile intensive care paramedics within the territorial <br />jurisdiction of Costa Mesa, in accordance with the terms and <br />'conditions of this Agreement. <br />
