EJC: adg 6/6/79 A G R E E M E N T THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into this day of 1979, by and between the City of Costa Mesa, a municipal corporation of the State of California, hereinafter called "Costa Mesa," and the City of Santa Ana, a municipal corporation of the State of California, hereinafter called "Santa Ana," W I T N E S S E T H RECITALS: A. Santa Ana and Costa Mesa each maintains as part of its municipal service mobile intensive care paramedics as defined by California Health and Safety Code S 1481. B. The parties hereto are studying the feasibility of a multi -agency agreement for combined fire department communications, training resources and emergency responses. C. The parties hereto, as part of the aforementioned study, desire to enter into an agreement whereby mobile intensive care paramedics maintained by Santa Ana may respond to a defined area within the corporate limits of Costa Mesa. D. The parties hereto desire to set forth their rights, duties and responsibilities with respect to said response obligations. WHEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual covenants and agreements hereinafter contained, and subject to the terms and conditions hereof, the parties hereto do hereby agree as follows: 1. Santa Ana, pursuant to the authority granted by SS 55632 et seg. and 6500 et seg. of the California Government Code, hereby agrees to respond to calls for mobile intensive care paramedics within the territorial jurisdiction of Costa Mesa, in accordance with the terms and 'conditions of this Agreement.
