The purpose of the program funded by this Agreement is to provide workforce investment <br />activities that increase employment, retention, earnings and occupational skill attainment through local <br />workforce investment systems to youth. All services are intended to improve the quality of the workforce <br />and enhance the productivity and competitiveness of Orange County and the United States. <br />CONTRACTOR shall ensure that the program funded hereby shall comply with this purpose. <br />COMPLIANCE WITH LAW <br />3. In its performance under this Agreement, CONTRACTOR shall fully comply with the <br />requirements of the following, whether or not otherwise referred to in this Agreement: <br />(a) The Act and all applicable federal statutes, regulations, policies, procedures and <br />directives, including but not limited to, 20 C.F.R. Parts 652 and 660 through 671. <br />(1) All applicable standards and orders and requirements issued under Section 306 of the <br />Clean Air Act, Section 508 of the Clean Water Act and Environmental Protection Agency regulations in <br />contracts in excess of $100,000. <br />(2) CONTRACTOR shall comply with such mandatory standards and policies relating to <br />energy efficiency as particularized in the State Energy Conservation Plan. (Title 20, California Code of <br />Regulations), as required by the U.S. Energy Policy and Conservation Act (P.L. 94-163) as each may now <br />exist or be hereafter amended. <br />(b) All applicable State statutes, regulations, policies, procedures and directives; <br />(c) All applicable COUNTY policies, procedures and directives; <br />(d) All applicable local ordinances and requirements, including use permits and licensing; <br />(e) Court orders applicable to CONTRACTOR's operations; and <br />(f) The terms and conditions of this Agreement. <br />WIA COST REIMBURSEMENT CONTRACT- REV. 8-15-07 7 <br />20D-9 <br />
