<br />2/19/09pjc <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2008-011 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCil OF THE CITY OF <br />SANTA ANA AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER AND <br />THE CHIEF OF POLICE TO EXECUTE A GRANT AWARD <br />AGREEMENT WITH THE OFFICE OF EMERGENCY <br />SERVICES <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCil OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA AS <br />FOllOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. The City Council of the City of Santa Ana hereby, finds, determines and <br />declares as follows: <br /> <br />A. The State of California, Office of Emergency Services has awarded to the <br />Santa Ana Police Department a 2007 Anti-Gang Initiative Grant in the amount <br />of fifty thousand dollars ($50,000.00). <br /> <br />B. This funding provides for overtime related to the continued gang enforcement <br />activities of the Santa Nita Gang Injunction which will serve to positively <br />impact the community by directly aiding in the efforts to reduce gang activity <br />and reduce Part 1 UCR crimes. <br /> <br />Section 2. The City Council of the City of Santa Ana hereby authorize the Chief of <br />Police to execute a grant award agreement with the State of California, Office of <br />Emergency Services in the amount of fifty thousand dollars ($50,000.00). <br /> <br />Section 3. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption by the <br />City Council, and the Clerk of the Council shall attest to and certify the vote adopting <br />this Resolution. <br /> <br />ADOPTED this 3'd day of March, 2008. <br /> <br /> <br />I A.
