G~v)2Q1rz <br />(r.Q.l,A ~:) <br /> <br />SEVENTH SIDE LETTER ADDENDUM TO THE <br />MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING <br />BETWEEN THE CITY OF SANTA ANA AND <br />THE SERVICE EMPLOYEES INTERNATIONAL UNION, LOCAL 721 <br />FOR FISCAL YEARS 2004-10 <br /> <br />In Article V, Section 5.7 (Career Development Incentives), Subsection "E" of the 2004-2010 <br />Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the CI1Y OF SANTA ANA AND <br />THE SERVICE EMPLOYEES INTERNATIONAL UNION, LOCAL 721 (SEIU), the City agreed to <br />re-open the issue of pay additives for Community Preservation classifications upon the request of <br />the Union. Subsequently, the City and SEIU have met and conferred on the issue of pay additives <br />for Community Preservation classifications and have agreed to amend the above referenced MOU <br />as follows: <br /> <br />Effective with City Council approval of this addendum, the current Article V, Section 5.7, <br />Subsection "E" pertaining to the re-opening of the MOU shall be deleted in its entirety and <br />existing Subsection "D" shall be replaced with the following new Subsection "D": <br /> <br />D. Incumbents in the classifications of: <br /> <br />. Community Preservation Technician <br />. Community Preservation Inspector <br />. Senior Community Preservation Inspector <br />. Community Preservation Inspector II (T) <br /> <br />who obtain or possess a valid certificate issued by the ICBO (International Conference of <br />Building Officials), ICC (International Code Council), SCACEO (Southern California/Statewide <br />Association of Code Enforcement Officers), CACEO (California Association of Code Enforcement <br />Officers), or any similar nationally recognized certificating organization in any four (4) of the <br />following Career Development Incentive areas shall receive incentive pay worth five salary rate <br />ranges (approximately 2.5'Yo) for each of the four (4) certificates. Additionally, any incumbent in <br />those same classifications who has obtained four (4) such certificates shall be eligible to earn an <br />additional five (5) salary rate ranges (approximately 2.5'Yo) pay additive upon completion of both <br />the SCACEO/CACEO Intermediate and SCACEO/CACEO Advanced Certifications: <br /> <br />. Building Inspection <br />. Electrical Inspection <br />. Mechanical Inspection <br />. Plumbing Inspection <br />. Combo Dwelling Inspector <br />. Plans Examiner <br />. Zoning Inspection <br />. Property Maintenance and Housing <br />. PC 832 <br />
