Attachment A <br />FY05 HOMELAND SECURITY GRANT PROGRAM <br />Organization <br />EMPG funds may be used to support the following emergency management related <br />organizational activities: <br />• Emergency management routine activities, staffing and response and recovery <br />operations <br />• Other EMPG related organization activities <br />Equipment <br />EMPG funds may be used for specialized equipment acquisition from select equipment <br />categories listed in the FY05 ODP AEL. The FY05 AEL is available in its entirety online <br />through the RKB at http: / /www.rkb.mipt.org. For more information on allowable <br />equipment categories, please refer to Appendix A: Authorized Program Expenditures. <br />The select allowable equipment categories include the following: <br />z <br />, <br />• Geographic Information Systems (GIS) related equipment <br />t� <br />• Emergency Operations Center equipment <br />v <br />• Other EMPG related activities. <br />z <br />a <br />Training <br />EMPG funds may be used for a range of emergency management - related training <br />activities to enhance the capabilities of state and local personnel, including the <br />W <br />following: <br />�. <br />z <br />W <br />• Developing /enhancing systems to monitor training programs <br />W <br />• Conducting all- hazards emergency management training, including NIMS <br />c� <br />• Attending Emergency Management Institute (EMI) training or delivering EMI <br />a <br />train - the - trainer courses in the states as allowed previously under EMPG and <br />not limited to terrorism - related courses <br />• Other EMPG related training activities <br />W <br />Exercises <br />W <br />EMPG funds may be used to design, develop, conduct, and evaluate emergency W <br />management related exercises. Exercises must be consistent with the principles <br />outlined in the HSEEP, as well as applicable existing emergency management <br />standards.
