<br />4/26/06 jxs <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2008-029 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCil OF THE CITY OF <br />SANTA ANA APPROVING THE RELOCATION PLAN FOR <br />THE BRISTOL STREET WIDENING PROJECT BETWEEN <br />THIRD AND TENTH STREET (PROJECT 08-1700-C) <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCil OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA, AS <br />FOllOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: The City Council of the City of Santa Ana ("Council") hereby finds, <br />determines and declares as follows: <br /> <br />A. On March 6, 2006, the City Council approved a cooperative agreement <br />between the City and the Orange County Transportation Authority for <br />widening of Bristol Street between Warner Avenue and Seventeenth <br />Street. <br /> <br />B. The March 6, 2006 agreement committed OCTA to contribute $225 million <br />for four phases of the Bristol Street widening project over five years. <br /> <br />C. Acquisition activities on Phase I, from McFadden to Pine, began in 2006 <br />and are about 90% complete. Design plans are complete and construction <br />will begin soon after completion of the underground utilities by Southern <br />California Edison which is expected to start in September 2008. <br /> <br />D. Preliminary planning for Phase II which is between Third and Tenth streets <br />are beginning. Over the next 18-months, the Public Works Agency <br />anticipates completing the acquisitions of over 38 parcels for Phase II. <br /> <br />E. Pursuant to California Government Code section 7260, et seq., a public <br />entity is required to adopt a relocation plan, by resolution, whenever it <br />enters into an agreement for acquisition of real property or an agreement <br />for the disposition and development of property which would lead to <br />displacement of people from their homes. <br /> <br />F. Section 6012 of the California Code of Regulations, Title 25, Chapter 6, <br />requires the adoption of a Relocation Plan due to the displacement of 18 <br />residential and 20 business occupants. <br /> <br />G. The relocation plan has been prepared in conformance with applicable <br />provisions of the California Government Code section 7260, et seq., and <br />the Relocation Guidelines, California Code of Regulations, Title 25, <br />Chapter 6 and has been made available for public review since February <br />13, 2008. Each potential displaced occupant was given written notification <br />regarding the Plan's availability. <br /> <br />Resolution No. 2008-029 <br />Page 1 of 3 <br />
