ORDINANCE NO........... An Ordinance of the City of Santa Ana au- thorizing a Contract between the City Coun- cil of the City of Satta Ana and the Board of Administration, California State Em- ployees' Retirement System, providing fOT the participation of said subdivision in said State Employ'ees' Retirement S:rstem, and making its employees members of said system. THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1: That a contract is hereby au- thorized between the City Council of the City of Santa Ana and the Board of Administration. California State Employees' Retirement Sys- tem, a copy of said contract being attached hereto marked Exhibit "A" and by such refer- ence made a part hereof as though herein set out in full. Section 2: In order to meet its obligations under the proposed contract referred to in this ordinance, the City Council of the City of Santa Ana is authorized and directed to comply with all the provisions in the STATE EMPLOYEES' RETIREMENT LAW, as now enacted, or as it may hereafter be amended, including the levy of all necessary taxes as provided in Section 20532 of said law. Section 3: The Mayor of the City of Santa Ana is hereby authorized, empowered and di- rected to execute said contract for and on be- half of said Subdivision. Section 4: This ordinance shall take effect December I, 1946, and shall, within two months from said date, be published at least three times in the Santa Ana Daily Register, a newspaper of general circulation published and circulated in the City of Santa Ana.
