Mr. Hayes also noted that there has been an increase of graffiti city wide. <br />Councilmember Martinez suggested partnering with the schools to address the issue <br />and possibly search students as they enter school sites. She reported graffiti has <br />been up for weeks on Bristol Street at the southeast corner near the flood control <br />channel. Mr. Hayes advised it would be taken care of. He announced they are <br />working on a partnering program with the Parks, Recreation and Community <br />Services Agency. Judy Edge inquired about the graffiti problem at Sandpointe Park <br />and suggested possible culprits could be the volleyball players that play from 3:00 <br />p.m. to 8:00 p.m. <br />4. PUBLIC COMMENTS ON NON-AGENDA ITEMS <br />Judy Edge requested a meeting with -city staff. regarding 222; W. Aurora, asked that <br />sheds be put. on a future agenda for discussion, and requested the shopping carts <br />be picked up from the flood control channels. <br />Thomas Gordon noted. it has been six months since the last meeting. <br />5. COMMITTEE MEMBER COMMENTS <br />Councilmember Martinez, requested a continued focus on shopping carts, particularly <br />after the holidays when staffing returns to normal. <br />Councilmember Benavides requested staff address resident concerns regarding the <br />flood control channels. <br />6.
