Healy <br />Pursuant to the Procedures of the City of Santa Ana for implementation of the California <br />Environmental Quality Act, the Environmental Evaluator has completed an Initial Study <br />for the project described below: <br />Project Number: ER No. 2007-190 <br />Applicant: City of Santa Ana <br />Project Location /Address: The proposed SEZ is contained entirely within <br />city limits and encompasses approximately 16.32 square miles. <br />Project Title /Description: The proposed SEZ is designed to attract new businesses, <br />create new jobs, and retain existing businesses and jobs in the city. The project would <br />allow businesses located within the SEZ to take advantage of state tax incentives and City <br />benefits. The SEZ, in and of itself, would not result in any specific construction projects, <br />land acquisition projects, or other development projects. The Santa Ana SEZ would have <br />a horizon year of 2023, extending 15 years from the June 7, 2008, expiration date of the <br />existing enterprise zone. <br />And does hereby find: <br />The proposed project would not create a significant effect on the environment.
