Description of Work - In the space below, describe the program to be funded during the 12 -month contract period. <br />What specific activities will be undertaken during the contract period. Please be concise in your response. Only the <br />viewable space will print. <br />Type in description here. <br />The goal of AdultWorks is to bring resources and education to adults to empower them to become leaders in <br />the community and become self-sufficient. Our objective is to provide resources and education to 150 adults in <br />our community during the 2008-2009 fiscal year. We expect to see the following outcomes by June 2009: <br />• 60 adults learn basic English skills <br />• 25 adults learn effective parenting <br />• 40 adults learn to navigate the education system through Latino Educational Attainment Initiative <br />• 5 adults earn tax credit <br />• 20 adults attend special classes/events/financial literacy workshops <br />• 50 parents attend parent meetings <br />• 400 volunteer hours completed by parents <br />• 6 parents trained in LEA to go on to train other parents <br />• 10 parents part of parent council <br />Schedule of Performace <br />Estimate the number of ONLY unduplicated Santa Ana residents to be served by the funded program during the 12 - <br />month contract period per quarter. (Enter number of new Santa Ana clients served each quarter.
