City of Santa Ana <br />Scope of Work <br />Name of Organization Centro Cultural de Mexico <br />Name of Funded Program Popular Institute for Leadership, Action, and Service <br />Annual Accomplishment Goal <br />I. Total number of unduplicated clients (Santa Ana and Non-Santa Ana Residents) anticipated to be served by the <br />funded ro ram, named above, during the 12-month contract period. <br />3475 Persons <br />II. Number of ONLY unduplicated Santa Ana residents to be served by the funded program, named above, during the <br />12-month contract period. <br />3150 Persons <br />Program and Funding Description <br />III. Description of Work - In the space below, describe the program to be funded during the 12-month contract period. <br />What specific activities will be undertaken during the contract period. Please be concise in your response. Only the <br />iewaoie space ww <br />PILAS combines community outreach with popular education methods, as well as culture and leadership training, <br />to build a strong base of over 100 volunteers who both assist in the provision of cultural services to the <br />community, but also train other volunteers to do the same. Hence, PILAS aims to develop leaders who can <br />administer cultural programs, as well as coordinate, train, and include an increasing number of volunteers. <br />Funding would ensure there is a trained individual able to administer the component, as well as coordinate the <br />and the teachers or volunteers. <br />Goal #1: Organize at two festivals in collaboration with other organizations and local businesses that highlight <br />the cultural and social contribution of the Mexican community to society <br />Goal #2: Produce and screen a documentary about el Centro's work using the cultural arts to educate, empower <br />and strengthen Orange County communities. <br />Goal #3: Strengthen el Centro internal structure by building the capacity and skills of the organization's <br />volunteers. The strengthening of el Centro's intemal structure has 6 objectives: <br />Objective #1: Hire five coordinators for our programs who will develop and train 10 volunteers for each program <br />Objective #2: Monthly workshops on diversity, inequality, oppression, discrimination, and conflict resolution skills <br />Objective #3: Series of classes by UCI professors as well as Cal State University Professors <br />Objective #4: Speck orientations around gender issues <br />Objective #5: Monthly trainings that will include: a) development and fundraising; b) media and public relations; c) <br />program evaluation; and d) strategic planning <br />Objective #6: Create and coordinate the distribution of Education and Outreach material. <br />B. MEANINGFUL ALLIANCES AND NETWORK DEVELOPMENT <br />Objective #1: Build a local network of at least 10 organizations who work through the arts and popular education <br />in multicultural communities. <br />Schedule of Performace <br />Estimate the number of ONLY unduplicated Santa Ana residents to be served by the funded program during the 12- <br />month contract period per quarter. (Enter number of new Santa Ana clients served each quarter.
