Our staff will interview new clients to determine CDBG eligibility: 1) resident of Santa Ana and 2) low <br />income or less by HUD standards. Staff will help eligible clients complete The Cambodian Family Youth {Program <br />Registration Form and The Cambodian Family CDBG Eligibility Assessment Form. These forms verify client's <br />residency, household sixe and income, race and ethnic, and whether client comes from amity with female head of <br />household. When client is under 18 years of age, parent/guardian sign the registration form. Staff use the <br />household size and income information to compare to the Latest HUD median Income Orange County (uncapped) <br />to determine client eligibity and also to properly categorize them under appropriate categories (Moderate Income, <br />Low Income, Very Low Income, Extremely Low Income). <br />Of the 120 that we will serve during the 2007-2008 grant year, 82 of them will achieve measurable successful <br />outcome. Success in youth is measure in the following way. Youth must show improvement in one of the four <br />areas: academic improvement, leadership and community services participation, and career exploration (as <br />described in the grant proposal), and personal goals relating to eating healthy and participation in physical <br />activities.
