The <br />Willlla d and he mlat room at Lathrop Intermediate ate Schoolsace for gwill be used from 3-5pm on certain ltdays�Mondose ay t <br />h u <br />Friday. <br />On Saturdays, teens participate in competitive wrestling tournaments, community service events or field trips. <br />The Wrestling Club provides expert instruction, a workout routine, personal counseling, with character <br />development and leadership development activities, as well as on-site paid tutors to assist with homework or <br />provide additional academic tutoring. In a culture of gangs, drugs and violence, teens need a safe place to go <br />when school gets out, a place where they do not have to look over their shoulder. <br />Students also need a place where they can enjoy friendships while being in a supervised environment. Today, <br />there is much talk about adolescent obesity and the wrestling club provides healthy exercise and physical activity <br />with a purpose. <br />Students get to use their natural energy in a constructive manner, developing excellent sport skills that create sell <br />confidence and discipline. <br />Students learn that education is important as we stress academic achievement as well. <br />Those that participate in the wrestling club develop a strong work ethic and a sense of responsibility. <br />The students will develop skills that create self-confidence and discipline. <br />Schedule of Performace <br />the number of ONLY unduplicated Santa Ana residents to be served by the funded program during the 12 - <br />Estimate <br />month contract period per quarter.
