Total number of unduplicated clients (Santa Ana and Non -Santa Ana Residents) anticipated to be served by the <br />funded program, named above, during the 12-month contract period. <br />250 Persons <br />II. Number of ONLY unduplicated Santa Ana residents to be served by the funded program, named above, during the <br />12-month contract period. <br />250 Persons <br />Program and Funding Description <br />III. Description of Work - In the space below, describe the program to be funded during the 12-month contract period. <br />What specific activities will be undertaken during the contract period. Please be concise in your response. Only the <br />viewable space will print. <br />Goals and objectives will include: <br />Goal 1: To provide academic assitance to youth. <br />Objective: Provide on -going educational assistance to 250 students, five days a week. This assistance will consist <br />of providing access to computers, educational resources including software and reference materials, school <br />supplies, homework assistance, and tutoring. All of which will be provided at no cost. <br />Goal 2: To provide sports and recreational activities to 250 students, five days a week.Objective: Sports and <br />recreational programs would teach youths the importance of teamwork, discipline, maturity, and good citizenship. <br />Field trips, both recreational and educational, will expand youths knowledge and social awareness. Police officers <br />coaching and mentoring demonstrate to youths that officers are people just like them and are truly interested in <br />their development and well-being. <br />Goal 3: To provide leadership and community opportunities to high school and college students to serve as tutors. <br />Objective: Provide positive alternative activities that promote awareness and skill development through the use of <br />technology, including open access supervised computer labs and peer tutoring with high school and college <br />students acting as volunteer tutors. The anticipated program's outcome will be to link youth to the services <br />sought. <br />Schedule of Performace <br />Estimate the number of ONLY unduplicated Santa Ana residents to be served by the funded program during the 12- <br />month contract period per quarter. (Enter number of new Santa Ana clients served each quarter.
