City of Santa Ana <br />Scope of Work <br />Name of Organization KidSingers <br />Name of Funded Program KidSingers <br />Annual Accomplishment Goal <br />I. Total number of unduplicated clients (Santa Ana and Non -Santa Ana Residents) anticipated to be served by the <br />funded program, named above, during the 12 -month contract period. <br />1501 Persons <br />II. Number of ONLY unduplicated Santa Ana residents to be served by the funded program, named above, during the <br />12 -month contract period. <br />140 Persons <br />Program and Funding Description <br />III. Description of Work - In the space below, describe the program to be funded during the 12 -month contract period. <br />What specific activities will be undertaken during the contract period. Please be concise in your response. Only the <br />viewable space will print. <br />KidSingers will hold auditions on Saturdays, June 21 and July 12, 2008. Approximately 150 Santa Ana youth will <br />audition and we will add around 60 new kids to the program. Returning KidSingers will be singing for KidSingers <br />annual Benefit/Auction on June 29th at Angel Stadium. They will also sing the National Anthem at the August 5th <br />Angel game at Angel Stadium. An all date retreat/orientation day will take place on Saturday, August 9, 2008. <br />Rigorous and disciplined weekly Tuesday rehearsals from 3:45 - 6:15pm will start on September 9, 2008. Two <br />performances are planned for Festival of Children and the Performing Arts Center in late September. A Holiday <br />concert at Nixon Library is planned for December 9, 2007. This is the first time all KidSingers, new and returning, <br />will perform together. A performance at Disneyland will be scheduled for January 2009. Also performances already <br />scheduled for Plotkin Art Gallery and Spring Concert for March and April 2009. College scholarships will be <br />awarded at the Spring concert. This year $12,000 was awarded to 23 KidSingers bringing our total scholarships <br />monies, since 2003, $47,500! <br />As a program expansion this year, a Thursday afternoon KidSingers MasterClass is being planned for the Fall of <br />2008 and Spring of 2009 as well. <br />Schedule of Performace <br />Estimate the number of ONLY unduplicated Santa Ana residents to be served by the funded program during the 12 - <br />month contract period per quarter. (Enter number of new Santa Ana clients served each quarter.
