<br />I Firm Overview
<br />Incorporated in 1982, MBA has provided thousands of public
<br />agencies and private development clients throughout California
<br />with contract environmental and natural resource management
<br />services. Our disciplinary specialties include environmental
<br />planning, regulatory compliance, natural resource management,
<br />cultural resources management, restoration planning and
<br />monitoring, air quality and AB-32 compliance services, and water
<br />resource management.
<br />MBA serves clients in the western United States with a staff of over
<br />100 professionals from offices located in nearby Irvine, as well as in
<br />Bakersfield, Fresno, Palm Springs, Sacramento, San Bernardino, and San Ramon. Our client base is comprised
<br />of numerous government agencies, as well as local land developers, contractors, home builders, engineers,
<br />financial institutions, law firms, military, academic institutions, water, wastewater, and transportation agencies.
<br />The MBA team consists of environmental resource leaders who possess an intimate understanding of
<br />environmental regulations, laws, and compliance. Staff has hands-on experience managing complex projects
<br />with diverse challenges, including scheduling and logistics, public relations, long-term field efforts, and
<br />multifaceted legal and agency compliance issues. As a testament to our skill level, MBA staff is called upon to
<br />provide expert testimony, instruct at technical seminars, or lead conferences.
<br />MBA staff is also actively involved in professional associations, legislative activity, and scientific research
<br />forums. This participation ensures we remain up-to-date on environmental issues and continue to be viewed as
<br />an informational resource in the communities we serve.
<br />Our goal is to provide cost-effective, technically -sound, and legally -defensible products. Our strongest company
<br />asset is responsiveness to our clients. We emphasize maintaining a high level of communication'while
<br />producing a product that is clear and concise. We have grown our business based upon our ability to meet the
<br />needs of clients in multiple locations and circumstances. Our offices are located in established and burgeoing
<br />geographic areas so that the distance between fieldwork and our offices is never a barrier to project
<br />implementation. Project staff can exchange information through e-mail, cell phones, hand-held Blackberries,
<br />and laptops to immediately accommodate our client's request.

<br />In this document, we have provided detailed information regarding our resources and capabilities. The
<br />following section, Key Service Areas, addresses MBA's inter -disciplinary environmental consulting services and
<br />representative projects detailing our recent experience in each area. Additional examples of project
<br />experience, inclusive of full required detail, follow in the Relevant Projects section. These experiences have
<br />helped us to better understand the local issues and environments and serve to set a firm foundation for future
<br />project success.
<br />Beginning on page 12, you will learn about the key technical project personnel who will be assigned to future
<br />projects. The repeat business we receive from our valued clients is a direct result of maintaining the focused
<br />customer service philosophy that each of these professionals offers.
