Fletcher, City Attorn ~ ~" ~ / <br />.~~-~ <br />~ ~ ~~ <br />From: Carolyn Richard, Claims 'stra ' Manager <br />Date: August 8, 2008 <br />Re: Workers' Compensation Destruction of Records <br />In accordance with the citywide records retention adopted by the City Council and <br />amended by resolution number 2006-045 in July, 2006, attached is a 6 page <br />alphabetical listing of indemnity and medical only claim files ready to be destroyed <br />on 9/1 /08. These files are at least 5 years old and/or are beyond the statute of <br />limitations. We have no more room to house these 179 files. We began this project <br />last year and council approved the first batch of files reviewed on 1/7/08. We will be <br />commencing a final round of review of files with a goal to finalize the project by <br />12/15/08. <br />I have notified the City Clerk's office that I am requesting this action on the August <br />18, 2008 Council Agenda. <br />Please authorize the destruction of these records without need for microfiche.
