Approximately $2 million will be available this <br />funding cycle. The grant application requires a 50-percent match of non- <br />State money, which is available in the Ci ty' spark acquisition and <br />development fund. Applications are due on October 1, 2008. <br /> <br />The Parks, Recreation and Community Services Agency proposes to submit an <br />application for the Santiago Creek Butterfly and Bird Habi tat. The <br />habitat will be located at the southern edge of Fisher Park adjacent to <br />the Santiago Creek bed. The project is an effort to create and maintain <br />a thriving natural habitat that will attract rare and endangered <br />butterfly and bird species.
