Department of Housing and Urban Development. <br /> <br />COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AND HOUSING COMMISSION ACTION <br /> <br />At its meeting on August 19, 2008, by a vote of 4:0 (Vasquez, Villasenor <br />absent), the Community Redevelopment and Housing Commission recommended <br />to: <br /> <br />1. Receive public comment on the Consolidated Annual Performance and <br />Evaluation Report for fiscal year 2007-08. <br /> <br />2. Authorize submittal of the Consolidated <br />Evaluation Report to the U.S. Department <br />Development. <br /> <br />Annual Performance and <br />of Housing and Urban <br /> <br />DISCUSSION <br /> <br />The Consolidated Five Year Plan is a comprehensive planning document that <br />identifies a jurisdiction's overall need for affordable and supportive <br />housing, community development programs, social services and economic <br />opportuni ties. The Plan outlines a strategy for using four federal <br />programs and other resources to meet those needs. Those programs are <br />Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), Emergency Shelter Grant (ESG), <br />HOME Investment Partnership (HOME), and Housing Opportunities for Persons <br />with AIDS (HOPWA). The Plan also identifies five-year numeric goals for <br />meeting the needs that the jurisdiction will seek to achieve during the <br />period covered by the Plan. <br /> <br />190-1 <br />
