SCOPE OF SERVICES <br />CIVIL ENGINEERILTG SERVICES <br />1 MILE STREET REHABILITATION <br />SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA <br />PRELIMINARY ENGINEERING <br />A. KICK-OFF MEETING <br />PENCO Engineering, Inc. will schedule a Kick-off Meeting with the City <br />representatives. This meeting will serve to: <br />1. Develop the basic working relationship between the City, utility <br />agencies and other agencies involved in the project by discussing <br />responsibilities and proper lines of communication. <br />2. Discuss the project requirements, scope of work and project <br />approach. <br />3. Establish a schedule and time and place of the future Project Team <br />Meetings <br />B. RESEARCH AND REVIEW OF AVAILABLE DATA <br />PENCO Engineering, Inc. will research and obtain City records and <br />documents including, but not limited to, existing improvement plans, <br />topographic data maps, "As -Built" drawings, utility plans, geotechnical <br />reports, studies and other pertinent information. The Project Team will <br />review this information prior to beginning surveys and preliminary <br />design. <br />C. SITE EVALUATION <br />PENCO Engineering, Inc. will perform visual field inspection of the street <br />to determine areas of structural damage of existing AC and PCC <br />pavement, curb, gutter, driveways, and sidewalk. Identify street sections <br />that exhibit structural damage and establish the areas that need overlay <br />and areas that need total replacement. In addition, PENCO Engineering, <br />Inc. will evaluate existing access ramps and driveways for compliance <br />with ADA requirements. PENCO Engineering, Inc. will also identify <br />potential drainage problems and possible feasible locations for proposed <br />catch basin inlets for the proposed storm drain system. <br />
