Noted that there are foreclosure prevention seminars scheduled <br />throughout the City; he further noted that there will be economic <br />recovery funds given to local governments to purchase abandoned <br />properties <br />. Noted that the recent Santa Ana Business Expo was well attended and <br />showcased a great deal of resources and opportunities for owners to <br />expand their businesses <br />. Noted that on tonight's Community Redevelopment Agency agenda, the <br />City Council approved an exclusive negotiation agreement with <br />Goodwill Industries and Foundation for Affordable Housing for the <br />development of property located at 1600 Garden Grove Boulevard <br />. Offered sympathy and prayers to the family of Henry Sanchez who is <br />missing following a boating accident <br /> <br />Councilmember Martinez <br />. Thanked the Parks and Recreation Agency and the Santa Ana Unified <br />School District for a very successful Youth Expo <br />. Wished the Sanchez family well, and expressed hope and prayers that <br />the oldest brother of Linda and Loretta Sanchez would still be found <br />safe <br /> <br />Councilmember Bustamante <br />. Reminded residents that Halloween is coming soon and parents need <br />to protect their kids particularly in the evening hours; children should <br />wear reflective gear; additionally, drivers need to be especially vigilant <br />.
