NO. 08-066) <br />~~ <br />"~ <br />~' <br />CITY M NAGER <br />RECOMMENDED ACTION <br />CLERK OF COUNCIL USE ONLY: <br />APPROVED <br />^ As Recommended <br />^ As Amended <br />^ Ordinance on 151 Reading <br />^ Ordinance on 2id Reading <br />^ Implementing Resolution <br />^ Set Public Hearing For <br />CONTINUED TO <br />FILE NUMBER <br />Award a contract to Anytime Printing for offset printing service for a <br />three-year period, with provisions for two one-year renewals, in an annual <br />amount not to exceed $100,000. <br />DISCUSSION <br />The Central Services Section of the Finance and Management Services Agency <br />supervises the duplicating and printing of letterhead, NCR forms, flyers, <br />posters and envelopes for various City agencies. Jobs of less than 2,000 <br />copies are produced in-house. Higher volume and enhanced jobs are cost- <br />justified for offset printing by a third party vendor. <br />The offset printing service typically requires a maximum completion period <br />of three days. The contract for offset printing service is designed to <br />provide quality products in a timely manner and at a significant savings <br />based on quantity pricing. <br />A Request for Proposal was solicited October 17, 2008. A summary of the <br />requests sent and offers received is as follows: <br />20 Requests for Proposals mailed <br />10 Requests for Proposals mailed to Santa Ana vendors <br />4 Proposals received <br />1 Proposal received from a Santa Ana Vendor <br />22H-1 <br />
