The site has a current <br />zoning designation of SP-2 (North Harbor Specific Plan) and is located in <br />the General Commercial land use category. The General Plan land use <br />designation is General Commercial (GC). Surrounding land uses to the <br />north, south, east and west are primarily commercial uses, with single- <br />family homes also located east and northeast of the site (Exhibits 1 <br />and 2 ) . <br />Project Description <br />The applicant proposes to construct a two-level, 15,327 square foot Rite- <br />Aid drug store with drive-through window service. The first floor <br />consists of approximately 14,586 square feet and will contain the retail <br />and pharmacy functions of the business, with a 741 square foot second <br />floor mezzanine to be used for storage and utility purposes. The retail <br />store will be open from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., seven days per week. <br />E31B 2 <br />
