Award a contract to Kormx, Inc., the lowest responsible bidder, in <br />accordance with unit bid prices in the estimated amount of $93,375 <br />for Channel Inlet Modification at the Santa Ana River and Channel <br />Inlet Repair at Santiago Creek and Santa Ana Gardens Channel. <br />2. Approve a Funding Analysis with a total estimated construction cost <br />of $126,200. <br />DISCUSSION <br />This project provides for channel inlet modification and repair at <br />various locations (Exhibit 1). A flap gate barrier is to be installed at <br />the inlet opening of a City storm drain in the Santa Ana River to fully <br />secure the storm drain. Also, the project includes repair of the storm <br />inlets in the Santiago Creek and the Santa Ana Gardens Channel. <br />The Notice Inviting Bids was advertised on October 31 and November 3, <br />2008, and bids were opened on November 25, 2008.
